Mrs. Smita Barmase working in K.J.Somaiya College of Nursing as a Associate Professor.She joined to this institution in 2011.She has done her master in Paediatric Nursing from Bombay Hospital College of Nursing.She has total 3yrs of clincal and 8yrs of teaching experience.She is a Alumni Secretary .

   She has also done certificate course in SUJOK THERAPY in 2018.

Achievement:

• Received award on “Provost Excellence in teaching ”on Founders day by K.J.Somaiya Trust
• Won first prize in scientific poster presentation at State level in KIMS Karad  topic:”Effect of planned nursing interventions on cardiopulmonary parameters and behavioural responses in children with pneumonia of  Mumbai.
• Won first prize in scientific poster presentation at National level in TNAI Conference held at Lucknow  topic:”effect of planned nursing interventions on cardiopulmonary parameters and behavioural responses in children with pneumonia of  Mumbai.”
• Appointed as a paper setter and examiner by MUHS
• Appointed as a LIC Chairperson by MUHS
• Won first prize in intercollegiate competition “Masterchef”
• Chief editor for college magzine "Udaan".
• Speaker for CNE
• Organizing secretary for National Conference in collaboration with ICMR
