Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • Minimum education:
    • For OPEN Category : 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
    • For Reserved Category : 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 40% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
  • Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Have appeared for MH-B.Sc.Nursing CET exam in the year 2023

Admission Process

DMER Process
Step
1

Candidate to pass 12th with required passing criteria and appear for MH-B.Sc Nursing- CET of that particular year.

After release of Merit List, Candidate should register on www.mahacet.org and fill the preference list.

3

Mahacet will release the list of selected candidates for all colleges. Students will have to report to the allocated college as per schedule and follow the guidelines given by Mahacet

4

Student will complete the college application form after the scrutiny of online documents and have to pay the college fees

For Institutional Quota (Including NRI)
Step
1

An advertisement for NRI quota will be released along with timelines.

Interested Candidates will fill the online application form available on the website

3

The admission committee will declare the merit list as per the marks obtained in the State Common Entrance Test

Step
4

The candidate will pay the fees and security deposit along with the required documents before the due date to confirm the admission

Important Instructions

  • For DMER CAP round and Institutional quota admissions, fees to be paid at the time of admission.
  • For DMER CAP round students, fees are payable by A/c payee Demand Draft drawn in favor of K. J. Somaiya College of Nursing, payable at Mumbai.
  • For Institutional quota students, fees are payable by NEFT.
  • Fees for consecutive academic year to be paid as per the scheduled announced.

Additional Documents For NRI Students

  • Family tree Affidavit duly signed by claimant
  • Passport of sponsor and student (photocopy)
  • Documents showing relation between the sponsor and student
  • Affidavit of claimant disclosing his/her full identity i.e. Name, Age, Address of residence
  • (Passport/Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate/Ration Card)
  • Affidavit of Sponsor disclosing his/her full identity i.e. Name, Age, Address of Residence, Occupation, Relationship with candidate duly signed by sponsor
  • Driving license/Telephone bill/Electricity bill/ ITR of last 2 years confirming the sponsor’s address
  • Bank statement of last six months
  • Valid VISA of sponsor & student (if applicable)

Note : 

1. Fees can be paid in 2 installment

2. The mode of payment shall be Online and you will get Somaiya Account credentials through email and SMS notification, using which you can pay the programme fee.

3. The fees are subject to change as per directive by Fee Regulating Authority
