Accommodation
At present there is a 100 bedded separate hostel for both boys and girls. The hostel houses students in a dormitory type facility with twin bunk beds. The hostel is provided for students who are staying outside Mumbai and the admission is granted on a first cum first serve basis.
A new hostel with better facilities, space is at present being built for the benefit of the students.
Library
An exclusive Nursing library with the latest collection of books, journals is available. The students can utilize and access the medical library which is open 24X7. The nursing library boasts of a fiction section containing Marathi and English books that encourages reading among the students.
IT Facilities
The college has LAN connection in each classroom and internet cable connection is available. There are exclusive computers set up in the library that the students and faculty could use . The students are provided free usage of the computers and internet for their curricular submissions.
Sports
Somaiya Sports Academy is an integral part of the Somaiya Vidyavihar trust, and has international standard infrastructure for sports like Athletics (all disciplines), Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Squash, Football, Volleyball, Roller Skating, Cricket and a fully equipped gymnasium.
Students of the Vidyavihar and Ayurvihar campus have access to all the facilities, and also have exposure to coaching in various sports. The institute also provides facilities for indoor sports like chess and table tennis.
Laboratory
Fundamentals of Nursing Laboratory
This laboratory is well equipped with all the surgical instruments, articles, glasswares, rubber goods, and manikins such as adult male / female for demonstrating nursing procedures.
Students are exposed to developing skills by practicing procedures in the demonstration room under the able guidance of nursing faculty. This laboratory develops the basic and advanced skills required for a nurse in delivery of patient care.
Maternal & Child Health Laboratory
MCH Laboratory popularly known as maternal and child health laboratory enables the students to develop skills required for caring for women with gynecological problems, providing obstetric care throughout pregnancy as well as preparing nurses in various pediatric procedures.
The Laboratory is well equipped with a female pelvis, foetal skull, and a delivery manikin along with instruments and illustrating charts. In order for students to develop concepts in Domiciliary Midwifery, a delivery kit is facilitated in the laboratory for conducting home delivery.
Community Health Nursing Laboratory
Community Health Nursing Laboratory, prepares the students to provide care to families in a community setting. The laboratory enables the students to develop skills in various procedures using a home based approach. It involves use of community bags and using them for assessment of health in various age groups, treating minor ailments, identifying abnormalities. It also is a means for educating the students in various health educations methods and use of mass audio visual aids.
Nutrition Laboratory
Students learn the food preparations, recipes, and also the method of cooking & serving. They are trained to calculate nutritive values and menu preparation for normal and therapeutic diet in an economic way. Emphasis is laid on low cost food preparation in relation to community health needs.
Advance Nursing Lab
This is an extension of the nursing foundation lab and the institute boasts of having moderate and high fidelity simulation manikins for stimulating critical thinking ability among the students. The institute also has various manikins to develop student skill in initiating IV line, PICC line, Sutrning.
